Smartlabs upgrades Wiltel’s PLAYME OTT service in Argentina with advanced CDN and analytics solutions

We are excited to announce the continued growth of our engagement with Argentinian telecom operator Wiltel. Following the successful deployment of  the award winning SmartTUBE Ultra multiscreen solution and the upgrade of the PLAYME video service, we have now implemented a SmartMEDIA CDN extension and SmartCARE for service quality analysis and reporting.

Wiltel set its sights on expanding the PLAYME OTT service in the region surrounding Rafaela city. To ensure high-quality delivery to its growing audience, the operator selected Smartlabs’ SmartMEDIA CDN. With the solution in place, Wiltel is now able to efficiently route user requests to the nearest available server, enhancing network efficiency and service quality for subscribers from the extended service area.

Wiltel also adopted the SmartLabs SmartCARE analytics solution. This solution monitors and reports on streaming video quality, enabling Wiltel to track the performance of its network and identify incidents on all devices.

In addition to monitoring network effectiveness, Wiltel may also analyze subscriber behavior, assess channel usage, and evaluate audience metrics. SmartCARE generates detailed reports that help the operator understand their subscribers viewing habits.

Both solutions are integrated with the cloud service management platform from Smartlabs, which powers PLAYME’s service and provides Wiltel with a solid foundation for scalable services.

By leveraging these advanced solutions from SmartLabs, Wiltel has taken proactive steps to understand and improve the quality of service delivered to all PLAYME customers across their expanded service area and they are now better equipped for ongoing service expansion.
